Two guys in lounge chairs watch TV in freefall. To film this sequence, we built two solid steel foundations with wheels and then secured the seats, table, lights, TV, VCR, phone, everything you'd expect to find in a room other than walls.
The first room flipped right out the door and continued to flip through the sky. The guys held on as long as they could and then were literally thrown off when they let go. The second room was a total success, except for a small flower pot that flew off and hit one of the jumpers in the mouth.
The jumpers exited the set at about 4500 feet, then the 1600 pound room fell to the ground and crashed only 50 feet from our ground crew and cameras. I was so thrilled with our results that I made this project the title sequence of the Good Stuff video.
